Epoxy Coal Tar Anti-corrosive Coating
1). Description of product:
As a dual component coating solidified at room temperature,
the product is composed of epoxy resin, coal tar, modified
amine solidifying agent, pigment stuffing, auxiliary
and mixing solvent, etc. It possesses the properties
of large content of solid, fast solidifying, satisfactory
mechanic and insulating properties, as well as excellent
anti microbe/plant-root invasion.
2). Designed usage: Be used for the anti-corrosion of
above ground or underground pipeline of gas, oil, water
and heat supply, it could meet the need of sub-water
anti corrosion and insulating for steel/iron, concrete
facility, ship, ocean platform and wharf.

4). Instruction for application:
4.1 Application condition: Ambient temperature is above
5≧, the relative humidity of air is not higher than
75%. But work should be stopped when it rains, snows
or it's foggy.
4.2 Surface treatment: The steel structure should be
shot blasted to Grade Sa2.5. Clear away dust, iron chippings
and greasy dirt after surface treatment, then paint
in eight hours.
4.3 Applying method: Brush painting manually.
4.4 Treatment of welding seam: The welding seam should
be plastered into smooth surface with putty, which is
blended with primer, curing agent and appropriated amount
of fillings (such as French chalk or mica powder).
4.5 Blending of coating: Mix lacquer with curing agent
in proportion of 100 vs. 10~14, fully agitated, aging
for 30 minutes before it could be used. The blended
coating should be used up in 1~6 hours.
4.6 Repainting interval: The later layer could be applied
after surface drying of the first layer, but the interval
should never exceed 48 hours. The painting of each layer
and wrapping glass-fabric should be done simultaneously;
the texture of glass-fabric should be fully filled by
coating. And the
last finish should be applied after the full drying
of the anti-corrosion layer.

Note: The size of glass-fabric is 12 x 12 or 10 x 10,
intermediate base, twiddle-free and wax-free.
4.8 Servicing duration: −days.
4.9 Thinner: The special thinner of X-02D for the coating
is used. The consumption of thinner is about 5 % of
coating.
5). Packing, storage and transportation:
Packed and sealed in iron drum, the net weight per drum
for component A is 20 kg\0.2 kg, component B is 2 kg
~3 kg (variation of consumption depends on seasons ).
Be stored in shady, cool, dry and well-ventilated place,
away from fire and hot resources, and avoid dropping
in water. Preventing raining and solarization in transportation,
and should be in accord with standards of traffic department.
Upon the base of above condition, the effective storage
period is one year from the date of production.
6). Points for attention:
1. Fire is strictly prohibited on job-site, fire fighting
tools should be seated at convenient site.
2. Good lighting is needed at job-site. When operation
in the equipment, low-voltage power (12 volt) should
be employed.
3. When in bad ventilating work-site(such as: in the
tank or in basement), efficient ventilating and air
exhausting is necessary on the spot. The operator should
wear gas mask, and under the protection of special persons.
4. If headache, heart-throb or nausea happens, the operator
should leave the work-site immediately, and take rest
on well ventilated spot.
